EQUIFAX BOOSTS PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACTIVITY

Steve Martin appointed External and Regulatory Affairs Manager

London, 4th July 2008 - Leading consumer credit and business risk expert, Equifax has appointed Steve Martin as External and Regulatory Affairs Manager, further strengthening its public affairs activity. With over 25 years in the financial services industry, Steve brings a deep understanding of the industry and the needs of Equifax's clients. He will play a key role in managing Equifax's external stakeholder and regulator relationships.

Steve joins Equifax from HSBC Bank PLC, where he was a Senior Credit Manager, most recently supporting their Central European consumer lending operations. Prior to that he spent 21 years with HFC Bank; holding a number of key positions, including credit reference agency relationship manager and heading their credit decision systems team. In his new role at Equifax, Steve will be working with Neil Munroe, External Affairs Director, in managing relationships with key stakeholders such as SCOR and the trade associations that represent its clients. In addition he will maintain relationships with Government bodies and regulators.
